Firstly, as a Volunteer, I preformed the following:-• Constantly assisted the Chief Stakeholder & Corporate Data Manager, Volunteer Coordinator and Recreational Specialist, as well as staff from many other departments including Radiology, Speech & Language Therapy and Physiotherapy with general administration projects/tasks and data entry• Met and greeted patients on a weekly basis to bring them to and from various departments/wards• Inputted ‘Volunteer Onsite Record’ sign-in… Show more Firstly, as a Volunteer, I preformed the following:-• Constantly assisted the Chief Stakeholder & Corporate Data Manager, Volunteer Coordinator and Recreational Specialist, as well as staff from many other departments including Radiology, Speech & Language Therapy and Physiotherapy with general administration projects/tasks and data entry• Met and greeted patients on a weekly basis to bring them to and from various departments/wards• Inputted ‘Volunteer Onsite Record’ sign-in details for the Volunteer Coordinator using Excel• Assisted the Recreational Specialist and Music Therapist with hospital events and recreational activities for example the weekly Music Therapy and BocciaAs a Radiology Administrator, my duties included:-• Mainly responsible for booking weekly DEXA scan appointments and occasionally sending out appointment letters• Scheduled weekly Out-Patient Urology clinics using NIMIS and cancelled any appointments as requested by the Urology department or Clinical Specialist Radiographer• Rang wards and scheduled Ultrasound (US), X-ray (XR) and Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans daily according to Radiology Department and patients’ availability• Checked details on Patient Administration System (PAS) for Out-Patient appointments and matched any appointment with US/XR/DXA if patient lived far away, if not when it suited both department and patient• Tracked older orders requested on NIMIS, scheduled them if possible and, also cancelled old appointments unattended by patients• ‘Arrived’ patients for their appointments using NIMIS and scanned in medical image reports when requested by Clinical Specialist Radiographer (CSR)• Distributed post for staff to department and scanned reports conducted by radiologist to various wards• When required, assisted Health Care Assistant with patients who needed to be transferred on to and off beds in X-Ray and DEXA rooms Show less
