I worked under multiple Professor Engineers for projects ranging in size and complexity. This required an effort with the Architect to agree upon certain design characteristics of the building in order to design the steel beams, foundations, roof joists, roof decking, and begin to analyze the precast concrete walls. I also took part in many different smaller projects where I analyzed roof joists for new rooftop units and additional snow load. In some cases joist reinforcement was required. I also took part in many projects where I need to design the wooden members and load bearing walls that would be required to bring an existing building up to code with an elevator and stair case. I also worked on many verti-block retaining wall designs where I had to use a design software to specify the required design and then create the walls on AutoCAD in order for the Professional Engineer to Stamp the drawings and send them out for Construction. This included creating the punch list, overseeing a small crew at the beginning of the punch list, preforming the work required on the punch list, and having the items checked off by the Project CM and outside Architect. The punch list required a collaborated effort among the General Contractor, Mechanical Contractor and many other subcontractors including Painters, wall insulators, ceiling tile installers, drywallers and many other trades that still had work to complete on the punch list.
