I met with students on a weekly basis, both individually and in small groups, and helped them with difficult topics from University Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. I also led the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program for the Organic Chemistry class. For SI, I developed lesson plans and practice problems for 3 sessions per week to reinforce material from the previous lecture. Prior to each exam, I also created and administered practice exams prior to the actual exams.

Evaluated and recommended processing equipment for a new production process. Designed experiments to determine optimal processing parameters and validated process by measuring product performance. Determined chemistry of products using analytical chemistry techniques (gas chromatography).

Midland, Michigan

Created databases for competitor products as well as an internal inventory in MS Access. Created viscosity-temperature charts and update product data sheets. Conducted routine testing on oils including viscosity, total acid number, flash and fire point, ICP metals, water content and density. Completed research projects for the cloud point of oil, oil compatibility, and determining the root cause of color change in the oil using a visible light wavelength scanner. Adjusted oil formulations to meet specific viscosity targets.

Troy, Mi

Worked with Validation and Dimensional Engineers to detail drawings using the basics of GD&T, created a glidepath of the tests for each program, and observed multiple tests being run. I also worked with the Materials Specialist to recommend materials for different parts, analyze new materials' cost effectiveness, and research new material processing techniques.
