CurrentMember of the Executive team, directing the Utility Excellence Program – lifting the industry from within through collaboration, advocacy and innovation. Responsible for the Melbourne office, directing programs on strategy, digital, assets, health and safety, culture, research and innovation, security, standards and codes. Key Achievements: • Successfully accelerating the adoption of digital innovation in the water industry nationally through global partnerships and the formation of collaborative associations in Australia. This will move the industry into ground-breaking areas including digital twins, artificial intelligence and automation.• Influenced Federal Government policy to improve outcomes for communities in the resilience of infrastructure assets, business and cyber security outcomes, safe management and disposal of buried asbestos pipe.• Directed a national $20M CRC-P project to develop first of kind national guidelines on structural pipe liners to extend buried asset life by 50%, creating a market for manufacturers and providing Australia with a lead opportunity in pipeline sensing and robotics.• Changing the national approach to management of buried asbestos cement pipes, saving over $11Bn for the Australian water sector and providing a safer approach to the management of buried asbestos pipe for the community.
