After gaining a strong background within Hospitality and constantly putting myself in a customer-centric, stressful, fast-paced environment, I came to the conclusion: I need a break. I had to find a field that I was passionate about that allowed my people skills to shine. Subsequently, I went back to school and obtained my Bachelors in Human Resources Management. During my studies at Northern Kentucky University, I scored an amazing internship with Patheon Pharmaceuticals. On my very first day, I attended a meeting in which the announcement of Thermo Fisher Scientific acquiring Patheon Pharmaceuticals took place. It has been all uphill from there! I am very fortunate to have seen directly and indirectly, the changes, struggles and opportunities that come with an acquisition. Working in an ever-evolving industry has helped me gain valuable skills (ability to adapt, decision-making, effective communication to name a few). It solidified that I chose the right career path for me. Currently, I am working as a Talent Acquisition Enablement Lead for Thermo Fisher Scientific. I'm part of a team that shares the knowledge on tools and processes to provide our candidates with a better applicant and candidate experience. I have an energetic, driven personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
