Managing the electronic archiving of corporate records of over 50 group companies covering the life of the companies concerned. This role became available following my undertaking of comparable tasks in the company’s Human Resources Department. The project has made me aware of the many different business areas within a large public corporation, the nature and extent of compliance and the record keeping obligations and importance of creating and following reliable systems to permit storage, access and retrieval of important records. I am required to recognise and systematically record, store and index data including shareholder information, ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) forms, records and declarations relating to shareholders and directors, business transactions and records of the appointment and dealings of directors. The quantity and content of material is extensive, and the form and condition varies. Mis filed records require rearrangement. In this position I assist in a large project by correctly sorting, uploading and managing records covering decades.
