During my internship at Helibras, one of the leading companies in the Brazilian aerospace sector and a subsidiary of the Airbus group, I provided support to the mechanical integration team within the development engineering department..My responsibilities included developing mechanical drawings in 2D and 3D using CATIA V5 software, creating paint schemes, and preparing parts lists, which facilitated my learning about the design process and the use of CAD and PLM tools..Additionally, I engaged in various other activities, such as observing a flammability test, expediting data for manufacturing, and cataloging materials in the company's internal system. I also contributed to the development of technical standards and procedures, as well as documenting aircraft through photography. These experiences provided me with insights into a range of issues, including export control and aeronautical certification.

The work focused on optimizing a Savonius-type vertical-axis wind turbine. To achieve this, a geometry was created based on previous research and a mesh that led to steady-state and transient solutions similar to the reference case..Subsequently, steady-state and transient simulations were conducted to evaluate the turbine's behavior, followed by a study on parameterizing the turbine to enable future optimization using the response surface generation methodology in the commercial software Ansys®, with the goal of achieving optimal power output..The research received support from PIBIC-CNPq, the research group FDT (Fluid Dynamics and Turbomachinery) at UNIFEI, and the University of Santo Tomás de Aquino (USTA).

AquaLab was an extension project focused on disseminating aquaponics and ecology at UNIFEI, fully aligned with ESG principles. It was the first project to be granted permission to construct a physical structure on the Itajubá campus..I was a member of the bioconstruction team, where I contributed to the project's structural design and assisted in practical construction activities. Later on, I led the team at the beginning of the construction phase, managing limited resources and adhering to the established project timeline in coordination with the overall project management..I also led the squad responsible for submitting and monitoring the project in grant applications and competitions to secure funding. We successfully secured funding through internal grants and gained recognition at the 8th Institute 3M Award for University Students (2019), where we were finalists competing against hundreds of other projects from across the country.
