Analyst at the energy trading front office of one of Brazil's largest utility providers. We buy and sell large energy volumes at the Brazilian deregulated market mainly through an exchange and between big players. These operations supply the company's retail division responsible for reaching end consumers. Good performance by the front office is primordial to the business' high margins.As an analyst I extract and transform data from several sources into useful insights about market conditions and the company's financial and energy balance. The traders require a meaningful outlook of assets, liquidity, prices, energy supply/demand and regulatory/climate factors, as well as ownership before inbound and outbound trading offers and the subsequent steps. The financial health of other players is also critical to prevent defaults and must be monitored.Main projects:1. New data hub for the national grid's most significant indicators, such as hydraulic energy supply, storage, demand and spot prices. Done in Tableau Prep/Desktop.2. Data architecture: automated data preparation flow for energy balance and margins queries through KNIME Analytics. Weekly executive presentation of consolidated results.6. Tracking of financial health data of business partners to detect anomalies and ponder on credit. Done in Power BI.7. Development of new app through Power Apps and Automate to concentrate comunication over closed deals and auctions, ensuring stewardship of next steps.

Trainee at the Energy Trading Front Office. I took roles on energy trading, market intelligence and overall management.- I created several reports and information systems using Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop, Google Sheets and Google Data Studio, analyzing products, prices, contracts and national grid operation.- I kept track and responded daily energy offers from several players.- I tailored breakdowns of proeminent market players' corporate structure, power assets and operations.

Responsible for implementing environmental and energy management systems and supporting health & safety management systems. Main accomplishments:- I led 6 energy improvement projects to a global investing program set by KB AG.- I was a consultant on energy market matters, reviewing contracts and performance.- I led two sustainability projects alongside a local NGO, one for the sponsorship of wild animals and another for the construction of a rehabilitation enclosure using external investment from KB AG (link: t.ly/SDip).- I worked closely on seeking better suppliers for the outsourced waste treatment, achieving the Zero Landfill mark and 53% better prices.- I kept track of CAPEX and OPEX for the department, ensuring a good commercial relationship with more than 40 suppliers.- I designed an online system alongside an external developer as an alternative to paper, improving our procedure for chemicals assessment.- I took part in several audits by the government and domestic and foreign customers, certification organs and internal auditors.

Internship program under the Quality & HSE departments. The focus was implementing the new ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2011, environmental and energy management systems. This was done through the development of several processes and support during audits.

Work program for students. I worked on Quality Systems for the commercial vehicles production line. I created procedures for several inspections steps, such as raw parts receiving, machining and final product pre-shipping. I translated technical documentation for customers. I validated technical documentation on PLM systems as well as drawings on SAP.
