Guy is a litigation specialist with experience of advising clients in disputes involving a wide range of sectors and disciplines. He regularly acts in commercial disputes, contentious probate matters and in claims involving professionals, including solicitors, architects, surveyors, accountants, insurance brokers and construction matters.Guy joined Hay & Kilner in 2022, having previously worked with recognised commercial practices in Newcastle upon Tyne and the Northeast for almost 20 years. Guy has advised clients in relation to claims made against them as well as in the pursuit of claims for the recovery of assets, debts and costs.Guy recognises the value of preserving business relationships and of protecting commercial and professional reputations. He has extensive experience of negotiating the early settlement of complex, high value, multi-party disputes. He is familiar with the various forms of alternative dispute resolution, in particular mediation, as well as dealing with applications and hearings at Court, including at trial.
