To plan and co-ordinate all rail/tunnel projects for the infrastructure department at Eurotunnel. Track protection and overhead line electrical isolation. To issue "permits to work" for all team leaders within the work site. To give safety briefings to all staff, and check all personnel have the correct certifications to complete their work. Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.Control train movements within a work site. Liaises with rail control centre. Train and assess employees in a wide range of rail related job fields including Locomotive driving and work site supervisor.

To drive all trains involved within the works train department, operate a train rescue service for Eurotunnel and London rail link (Eurostar and Hitachi). Train preparation/configuration. Light maintenance duties on Diesel locomotives.

To drive all commercial trains with the Eurotunnel consession. Monitor all on board safety equipment for the safe passeage of trains through the tunnel. Supervise all crew on board.
