• Assess and determine complex environmental matters relevant to the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act (2016) on a wide range of development applications in accordance with Part 4 of the NSW EP&A Act (1979) including:o Residential and industrial development;o Greenfield and infill subdivision development;• Review and provide detailed comment with regards to environmental matters for proposed major projects including State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) and State Significant Developments (SSD)• Provide sound and consistent environmental management & compliance advice to internal and external stakeholders• Undertake detailed review and provide comment on proposed works in accordance with Part 5 of the NSW EP&A Act (1979)• Provide high level strategic ecological services in the field of environment and natural resources. This includes the identification of innovative solutions and the negotiation of satisfactory outcomes to complex ecological matters.• Liaise directly with other government agencies to ensure approaches, methodologies and outcomes of are consistent with their policies, procedures and planning initiatives;

• Undertake and manage complex biodiversity stewardship site assessments and applications• Manage teams of multiple staff to conduct targeted biodiversity stewardship site assessments• Liaise with external stakeholders in order to identify opportunities for biodiversity credit transactions• Liaise with multiple stakeholders including both private and public sector clients to identify areas to undertake positive biodiversity restoration works• Conducting environmental assessments for a comprehensive suite of public and private sector clients and producing high quality reports including:o Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSAR)o Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports (BDAR)o Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)o Review of Environmental Factors (REF)o Vegetation Management Plans (VMP)o Independent Koala Plans of Management (IKPoM)o Environmental Management Plans (EMP)• Undertake complex GIS mapping based on field gathered GPS data

- Assist and conduct wildlife monitoring programs (land and boat based)- Conduct data collection and analysis- Shore and wetland bird identification- GIS analysis and report production- Flora & Fauna Assessments- Bio-banking assessments- Vegetation Management Plans and Subsequent Bush Regeneration Procedures
