I am an open minded, easy going person who is always looking for a challenge! My current focus and professional passion is driving change in the International Education sector, by providing smart technological solutions. Having begun my professional career in the financial industry in the UK, I soon began to progress through to middle management with JP Morgan Chase. Moving through to ever more challenging roles over the 5 year period. Deciding that the UK was not where we wanted to settled down. My partner and I were fortunate enough to spend 12 months travelling to all 7 continents of the world. Finally settling in Wellington, New Zealand.I moved straight back into the financial industry with a job at BNZ as lead project manager & deputy head of technology for Corporate and Institutional Banking. This role lasted for around 18 months, until the desire to try my hand as an entrepreneur became too strong. At which point my partner and I opened Vast Interior in Wellington, a direct import retailer. Having built the business up to 2 stores and a wholesale proposition, we decided to sell the business.I was then fortunate enough to join the small team of an Australian EdTech/ Fintech company called Cohort Go. Over an exciting and volatile 7 year period we grew the company into strong challenger within the international education payment space, and were acquired by Flywire, a NASDAQ listed market leader in July 2022I am now challenging myself to grow with Flywire. Flywire is a global payments enablement and software company. We combine our proprietary global payments network, next-gen payments platform and vertical-specific software - what we call our Flywire Advantage - to deliver the most important and complex payments for our clients and their customers.My interests outside of work are my lovely family, running, bush walks, travelling and enjoy supporting all sorts of sports.
