I grew up in Plainview, New York, a town located in Nassau County, Long Island, where I attended Plainview-Old Bethpage/JFK High School. While in high school, I excelled in mainly health and science related courses, while also being an active varsity athlete, particularly being consistently ranked All County in wrestling throughout my high school career.Upon graduating Plainview-Old Bethpage/JFK High School, I began my freshman year at University of Arizona as a part of the Class of 2015 in the university's undergraduate nursing program. My goal is to enter into a medical career centered around working closely with patients, providing nutritional education, but in a position that is heavily associated with nursing duties. My scholastic and extra-curricular activities on campus are mainly involved in the health and medical type clubs; HOSA - "Future Health Professionals" being the primary student organization I contribute my efforts to. HOSA, or "Future Health Professionals", is a student organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in health care and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. It is a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE. I have contributed as an appointed chair position on the student management board for one year, and continue to work hard to promoting the organization.I have additionally become very involved in community service endeavors, and independently, as well as through my fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi, where I serve as the community service and philanthropy chair position. Serving in this position, I am required to plan, manage, and execute all philanthropy and community service events sponsored by Pi Kappy Phi. We generally hold approximately 6 - 8 events per year, almost all of them held in the city of Tucson, AZ. Foremost among these events have been Push America's Give a Push Weekends.
