In this role, I write, edit, and manage grant reports and proposals for requests above $10,000, working with relevant staff as needed. I lead institutional prospecting strategy and efforts, including providing direction and clarity to regional development directors and national fundraisers. I collaborate with front-line fundraisers to determine and design the necessary collateral, resources, and talking points for effective donor stewardship. As the lead of the development operations sub-team, I design and implement systems to enhance accountability, track fundraising progress, collate and codify development processes, and identify areas to optimize efficiency and reduce redundant collection of information.

I collaborate and communicate across various internal departments, including data, program, finance, and others to ensure accurate and effective reflections of successes and programming, including supplemental materials, such as budgets and addendums. I create, maintain, and regularly communicate a detailed grants calendar and system of project management for grant proposals, reports, and documentation. I also document and implement a detailed grants protocol to ensure alignment on grant requirements across program, development, data, and finance staff. I coordinate grant launch meetings internally, and steward a portfolio of foundation relationships, including managing communications.

I oversee the Emergency Resource Pantries and coordinate donation collection and distribution. I also fosters relationships with community partners, organizations, and volunteers to support programming at HYC. I work closely with the development team to promote community awareness through communication and outreach initiatives.

I taught English to underserved youth at the high school and middle school level. I also facilitated multiple English clubs, leadership clubs, and technology skills workshops to prepare students for continuing their studies after high school.

Rwanda

I collaborated with five Rwandan teachers to teach English, Literature, and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) to more than six hundred students. I co-facilitated an English Club, Debate Club, Leadership Club, and a Computer Club after classes to further strengthen students' English and computer skills.

As the Youth Program Outreach Coordinator through AmeriCorps, I worked directly with refugee youth, agencies, and schools in the Tucson community. I sought to build capacity among educators and local organizations to support refugee youth and their families. I connected students with the necessary resources to succeed in school and prepare for the future through the development and implementation of a community resource map, including more than 300 local agencies.
