As a trained custom tailor, I understand the demands that even the production of a single garment entails. Knowing the working conditions and environmental damage under which clothing is mass-produced today motivates me to drive change in textile supply chains. Although my interdisciplinary education may seem like an exotic mix to some, it gives me a versatile understanding of textile products and garment production processes. My training as a custom tailor in a medium-sized company familiarized me with the manual and industrial production of garment pieces. The urge to understand the underlying economic and production processes led me to pursue a Bachelor’s double degree in Business Administration & Engineering and Logistics Management. Already during my studies, due to my quick learning and self-reliant attitude, I could manage the production of a small equestrian equipment manufacturer and establish cooperation with the first external producer. Following my ambition to promote more sustainable solutions for the textile industry, I completed a Master's double degree in Innovation Management, entrepreneurship and Sustainability. Most recently, I was able to use my "exotic" combination as an intern at the textile label Grüner Knopf, where I supported the team in advising licensees on the social and ecological requirements for fair clothing production. Building on this experience, I want to grow with new challenges and advocate for more sustainability in the textile industry.
