I have been teaching for 10 years in traditional and non-traditional educational settings. My interests are Project-based learning, dog training, Outdoor Education, Hand on learning, Brain-based learning strategies, and collaborative team teaching. For almost 2 years I taught in a self-contained K-8 EBD classroom at Northwest Passage, a residential mental health facility for children between the ages of 6 and 18. Afterward, I taught at Barron School District in Barron, WI for three years. After moving to Freeport, Illinois for my husband's job I began teaching at Freeport School District 145 where I have been teaching third grade for the last 5 years.
