Responsible for running a meditation retreat center; feeding and housing 100+ students.

At this ABA therapy clinic, I provided quality ABA therapy to children with autism or other developmental delays under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I followed tailored program procedures to meet the specific needs of each client and their family to help individuals reach behaviorally appropriate milestones. Additionally, I was responsible for creating a fun and fruitful environment for Pre-Kindergarten and elementary-aged children via pairing.

At this non-profit educational meditation center I lead groups of 5-10 people through the responsibilities of tending the kitchen for the duration of 10-day silent meditation retreats. This is easily one of the most central roles of volunteering at this center, as the meal preparation is what sustains those participating in the courses. I also assisted with turning the center campus around for new courses to begin in between each retreat, including taking inventory of and organizing supplies, leading various breakout projects, and meal preparation.

At this state-of-the-art clinical research facility, I managed clinical trials for individuals in research studies of varying diagnoses among middle-aged to elderly adults. I assisted in the monitoring of the overall wellbeing of participants during and after study completion with team of clinical research coordinators, doctors, and nurse practitioners.

I discussed and promoted optimal treatment plans with doctors, nursing staff, and therapists for patients on Intensive Treatment and Geriatric inpatient Behavioral Health units. I also assessed patient needs and their level of care to discern appropriate aftercare services tailored to the individual, including coordinated placement for patients through community resources (i.e. Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, group homes, etc.).

In this role, I enjoyed building rapport with patients on inpatient Behavioral Health units across various levels of functioning. I cared for their personal needs, including recording vitals and discussing patient status with nurses, to provide a significant level of patient comfort and safety.

I collected data via survey conduction within public high schools and managed data entry of surveys in specialized software from longitudinal youth research project. I also investigated data forms to ensure accuracy of documentation and troubleshooted data collection procedures via email, phone, and face to face meetings with peers.
