• Perform data-processing, standardization, and analysis on statewide tree inventory datasets using Excel and GIS platforms. Co-author of two pending manuscripts. • Research best comparative analysis practices and write literature reviews to inform which biophysical and social indices should be assigned to cities based on their green infrastructure status. • Curate and develop statewide interactive mapping platform titled Indiana Green City Mapper to make urban green infrastructure, social, and climate-related data accessible to the public in effort to make cities more environmentally resilient and to identify ways to make green space more equitable in urban communities. • Provide technical GIS assistance to Indiana University’s McKinney Climate Fellow Program in summer 2022 and 2023. Worked with 7 Indiana municipalities to develop equity-based tree canopy assessments and resulting tree planting plans. Helped connect stakeholders to funding resources.

• Facilitated two full inventories of IU campus trees using GIS interfaces and extensively analyzed and mapped the data into user-friendly platforms. Presented these findings, most notably to IU’s Vice President of Capital Planning and Facilities to leverage funding for arboriculture efforts on campus. • Provide GIS knowledge and field experience to IU classes. Lead multiple invasive species focused woodlot surveys for graduate-level course (E528 Forest Ecology and Management) and facilitated urban tree identification and health assessment for E422 Urban Forest Management class. • Work with campus arborist staff to evaluate tree and canopy health, administer treatments, identify diseases and pests, and deliver additional arboricultural and plant health initiatives. Developed and manage back-end GIS tree inventory database campus arborist staff use to plan and track their daily maintenance schemes. • Partner with Facilities Operations and SustainIU staff, IU faculty and students, and community members to take steps towards campus-wide sustainability goals. Played a central role in SustainIU’s EQLU working group meetings. Seated on Campus Tree Advisory Committee.

CanopyBloomington is a social impact organization created to maximize Bloomington's tree canopy and sustainably manage Bloomington's urban forest for trees' many environmental, health, economic, and social benefits, with a focus on tree equity and community engagement.• Instrumental in developing CanopyBloomington’s operations, mission, and strategic plan as the first directing staff member.• Responsible for developing and managing the urban forestry, tree planting/tending, Youth Tree Tenders, and related educational programs and projects including volunteer coordination and community outreach. • Perform effective data collection and environmental/equity based GIS spatial analysis and communication of programmatic results and impact. • Co-lead the organization with the Administrative Director and work closely with the Board of Directors on fundraising, board governance, and the organization’s mission and strategic plans.
