• Researching potential pioneer event locations, taking into account suitability, capacity, catering and budget; building a relationship with the contacts at each venue and researching catering options and reporting back to a manager at each stage to provide updates. This resulted in the successful selection of a venue for a pioneer legacy event. • Assisting with the new solicitor engagement strategy for the Free Will Service; researching solicitors firms’ email addresses and points of contact for future communications, contributing ideas and solutions to address current problems and leading on projects such as sourcing collection pots to place in solicitor’s offices and setting up a solicitor questionnaire. • Leading on a project to obtain banner stands for use at the conference and future legacy events.• Developing interpersonal skills through attending a volunteer conference and volunteering at a half marathon and interacting face-to-face with volunteers. • Creating an induction pack for new regional legacy managers. • Use of Siebel to check and input supporter data. • Participated in intern fundraising and developed skills such as team work and negotiation skills to secure materials for free, as well as event planning through selecting a suitable venue in which to host a pub quiz.
