Lead and manage American Councils for International Education’s $34.5 million portfolio of 15 education and development programs within the Republic of Uzbekistan on behalf of the US Department of State (ECA/SCA), the US Embassy in Uzbekistan, and the USAID/Uzbekistan Mission.As Country Director, I:• Oversee operations, finance, policy and procedure development and implementation, and a team of 56 that include LTTA/STTA international experts, local consultants, subcontractors, and ministerial PMU across five offices within Uzbekistan - Tashkent Fergana, Namangan, Qarshi, and Samarkand. • Manage and implement a program portfolio of 15 education and development projects that include youth employment, youth exchange, higher education capacity building, faculty exchange, youth focused TVET and 21st century foundational learning skills building, internship curriculum design, business education and adult leadership exchange, teacher and school leadership in-service training and licensure, educational assessment and certification,.• Conduct donor-implementation meetings with Ministry of Preschool and School Education (MOPSE), Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation (MHESI), and the Republican Center within the Government of Uzbekistan.• Conduct international business development, proposal writing, budgeting, international staffing and recruitment, project design and approach for the field office.• Oversee donor reporting compliance for all projects, activities, and awards,• Serve as a thought leader on international education and entrepreneurship development, and present at various events, forums, conferences.

The Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) was founded as a mission-driven organization to develop international entrepreneurial ecosystems and provide ecosystem builders within these communities new approaches, programming and best practices so that they could realize sustainable, long-term change through innovation and entrepreneurship. Over the course of 17 years, CFE identified the most promising regional entrepreneurial eco-systems, and provided local stakeholders grant funding to build their capacity; training programs, such as Kauffman FastTrac and our ScaleUp accelerator, that helped entrepreneurs to growth their companies; training for university faculty in how to teach entrepreneurship; and international networking opportunities through the Global Entrepreneurship Network and the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance. As CFE co-founder, I:• Developed 30 peer-to-peer entrepreneurship trainings, accelerators, mentoring, and networking programs.• Developed and implemented a 6 year, 15-city ecosystem building program that provided regional stakeholders programs and funding to foster collaboration and develop local jobs and economic growth.• Created 9-month ScaleUp Accelerator and oversaw 23 cohorts in 10 cities, resulting in 200 entrepreneurs creating 430 jobs and attaining 61% average revenue growth.• Organized 300 business skills trainings in 22 cities that helped 6800 entrepreneurs grow their companies.• Conducted 54 cohorts in 9 cities of Kauffman FastTrac, helping 850 entrepreneurs scale their companies.• Managed the budget planning process, and effectively managed a $3 million annual budget.• Helped fundraise $48 million by engaging with donors.• Hired, managed and mentored a team of 15 staff in 3 cities.• Set staff goals, developed incentive programs, and oversaw annual performance evaluationsCFE was awarded the “Outstanding Entrepreneurship Program Abroad” by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE).

The G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20YEA) is a global network of young entrepreneurs and the organizations that support them. The G20YEA was established to convene each year in advance of the G20 Summit to champion the importance of young entrepreneurs to the G20 member nations and to share our own examples and practices. Eric Hansen and his team at the Center for Entrepreneurship organized the G20 YEA Summit in 2013, the year Russia hosted the G20.
