I began working in the financial services industry in 2004. What started out as a job to get me by has turned into a career that has allowed me to grow, discover and develop new skills. In 2006, I accepted my first B2C sales position. It was fantastic being able to help people find affordable solutions. I also enjoyed the fast paced nature of the job and that success measures were dictated by me.Since, I've branched out into B2B sales (SMB and large). I've found that much of my success is measured based on the relationships that I create with those individuals and organizations. It's fun to find commonality and to be a part of the solution. Two years ago, I left finance and joined a software company to help large businesses address their challenges. These challenges may be addressing the changing regulations or uncovering a bigger need such as acquisition or collection strategy.It's not just about helping clients. It's also about challenging myself - the word GRIT comes to mind. I thrive working in an industry that is fast paced and evolving. This career shift has allowed me to measure my tenacity and resiliency. After my first year with FICO, I attained 127% of my quota to earn the President's Club distinction. This success is attributed to deepening both internal and external relationships, strategy creation and execution, and generating a full pipeline in a matter of a few months. While much of my career has been spent working in finance, I've found that if a product and company mission is fascinating enough to me, I can be successful.
