About Harrison Watson

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University, where I study the impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss on land carbon cycling. As a Public Voices Fellow at Yale Program on Climate Change Communication, I collaborate with experts and to produce and publish op-eds on environmental issues. Additionally, I am a freelance writer, covering various subjects related to environmental development for a local audience in Trenton, New Jersey. As a Conservation and Justice fellow at American Bird Conservancy and a Sustainable Food and Farming Intern at Earthjustice, I support the legal and policy advocacy for healthy and equitable food systems. I conduct research, draft memos, and assist with outreach and communication efforts.I am passionate about lending my voice and skills to the environmental community and beyond, and actively seeking mentors across all disciplines to strengthen my abilities in research, policy, and social relations. My goal is to become a leader in public policy development and implementation in government.
