Shane Harrison is a gender specialist and qualitative researcher. His research interest is in how gender affects adolescent health and wellbeing, particularly in humanitarian settings.Shane completed his PhD in Population Health at the University of Melbourne in 2022. His research focused on how humanitarian organisations respond to the protection needs of adolescent boys in emergencies.Shane has worked for a variety of international non-government organisations on gender equality and women's empowerment, including the Pacific Community, CARE International, Danish Refugee Council, Terre des hommes, and the International Organization for Migration.
