My interest in Finance and Accounting has formed from an early insight to the industry whilst young; assisting with tax returns whilst in secondary school, my first career step was an assistant at a construction company which quickly progressed to assistant accounts manager during my time at sixth form where I studied a Level 3 Enterprise and Entrepreneurship National Diploma (Grade = Triple D*). I then furthered my education at the University of Lincoln with a degree in Business Studies (Grade = 2:1). I developed many new skills whilst in education such as Team Working, Budgeting, Reporting and Strategic Planning. Some main topics I took an interest to at university were Human Resources, Finance, Operations Management. Whilst studying at university I was able to extend my social skills in societies at university. My current role includes assisting with credit control, payroll, budgeting, VAT and communicating with HMRC.I am also planning to expand my education further through accountancy and bookkeeping exams in order to become a fully qualified individual.
