Manage the companies Premium Finance needs with larger quotes being manually negotiated for lowest rate & maximum revenue.

This is one of the top Insurance Brokerage houses of the country with the region's annual premiums exceeding $1.2 billion. Acquired in 2001 by HUB International who owns & operates hundreds of branch offices in Canada & USA. Accounting functions are centralized & I am responsible for the premium accounting unit consisting of 6 managers and 34 staff members. Am also responsible for the Prefi Program I developed for the company in 2004 which now extends to all regions (except CA) in USA & Canada. Financed volume has crossed $400 million and during the past 5 years the fees have increased significantly.

I was responsible for the overall administration for a group of 8 hotels with specific responsibilities of managing the accounting & development functions. These duties included lease negotiations, project development (including feasibility studies) and Insurance & Risk Management.During the first couple of years successfully spearheaded a $30 million renovation & upgrading program for the group.

I was the part of the core Management Committee, which was the decision maker for investments in new projects (Hotels & Restaurants), their marketing plans & operations. Specific responsibilities covered the overall charge of Accounting & Audit functions. Dealt directly with financial institutions for arranging the funding for projects.

Started with this group as an Accounts Executive at their flagship property in New Delhi - "The Maurya Sheraton." Worked essentially in Accounting and related functions such as Purchasing, Receiving, Stores, and Food & Beverage Controls etc. I worked my way up to Financial Controller of one of the group's 21 hotels.
