Shelter is both fighting to end the housing crisis, and providing invaluable support to people who are being caught out by it - my job is to communicate to funders how they can join us to carry on this vital work. I look after a range of trusts giving anything from £5,000 to +£1,000,000, from recruitment, to stewardship, applications and grant management. With diverse experience in the charity sector and marketing in the private sector, I am using my expertise in written communications and targeted campaigns to communicate with funders.

Managing the Director's Office; relationship management on behalf of the Director and Deputy Director with key stakeholders and donors (including Trustees and industry professionals); fundraising event management.

Working across three literary and two commercial publishing lists, I was responsible for a diverse range of print and digital marketing campaigns. I launched, maintained and wrote all the content for the Windmill Books website, and ran the Windmill Twitter, regularly reporting on the implementation and results of marketing activity to the Marketing Director, editors and authors. I ran Google AdWords and Facebook ad campaigns in conjunction with print campaigns, as well as briefing and working closely with internal and external graphic designers, web designers, video production companies, PR agencies and media booking agencies to produce creative campaigns to deadline, managing often tight budgets in the process. I wrote copy for a wide range of marketing materials, both business and consumer facing, and gained extensive experience in adapting my style to suit brand guidelines. I met with authors, agents, and potential promotional partners regularly, representing my company’s interests and communicating results of meetings to my managers.

I was responsible for the production and distribution of monthly sales packs, and compiling sales comparison reports on our own and competitor’s titles for use in acquisitions meetings.
