About Hasan Majid

I am a web and mobile app developer with a passion for creating innovative and user-friendly solutions for real-world problems. I am currently pursuing my BSc in Computer Science at Toronto Metropolitan University, where I have gained a solid foundation in software engineering, discrete structures, and computer science.I have developed multiple applications using various frameworks and back-end technologies, such as React Native, Node.js, Express.js, and Rest APIs, and worked with MySQL and NoSQL databases. Most recently, I was a software co-lead intern at Health and Rehab Research Inc., where I led a team of five student developers in creating a web app that helps users find and book health services. I set up the project using Next.js, Firebase, and MySQL, and trained the students on how to use these tools effectively. I also interviewed potential candidates for software development roles and provided feedback and guidance. Previously, I was a software engineer intern at Healthcare Systems R&A Inc., where I worked on an affordable green business networking mobile app using React Native, Node.js, and Express.js. I implemented user authentication with Firebase, created a component that caches images to the device storage, fixed several bugs on the Android version of the app, and made fetching user data four times more efficient. I am always looking for ways to improve the reliability, stability, performance, and code quality of existing technical solutions, and to take on new challenges and learn new skills to enhance my abilities as a developer.
