I am a consultant, mentor, and leadership coach with more than 40 years of experience as a dynamic, forward-thinking business leader. I recently retired from a career as utility executive where I oversaw accounting, finance, technology, corporate operations, and transmission functions, to pursue my passion for utility and non-profit consulting and executive coaching and mentoring.Most recently, I served as the Executive Director of Energy Strategy and Electric Utility Development for the city of Boulder, Colorado, where I oversaw the city’s Energy Future project by providing direction in the creation of short- and long-term energy strategies, guiding the city in the implementation of new methods of energy services and carbon reduction, and analysis of the potential municipalization of Boulder’s electric distribution system. Previous to that, I was a utility consultant consulting on electric utility regulatory, strategic, and management issues. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed many opportunities for mentoring and developing industry talent, many of whom have become leaders and experts in their field. I am dedicated to helping up and coming leaders as well as C-level executives identify core issues and concerns and then figure out workable solutions that help them improve business performance, refine their leadership skills, and optimize their happiness.
