Digital Forensics Supervisor
CurrentIn addition to the duties of a Digital Forensic Examiner, Mrs. Marsh plans, organizes, directs, supervises, and reviews the work of the personnel within the assigned unit. Supervises and participates in the activities of the unit including field evidence collection or examination of digital media and related procedures. Establishes and enforces procedures for the accountability of evidence and quality control of the unit. Trains and advises staff and other departmental personnel in proper procedures and methods to assure smooth and adequate functioning of the units and their activities. Provides direction and guidance to staff in solving technical problems related to digital forensic analysis. Directs the maintenance of laboratory records, equipment, supplies, and materials. Assists in budget formulation and other administrative tasks related to the activities of the unit. Prioritizes requests for service and prepares productivity reports. Establishes and maintains a digital forensics lab; obtains and equips facilities; develops procedures and policies.
