Responsible for working with strategic IT vendors (i.e. IBM, Microsoft, and Oracle), bank stakeholders and corporate data to define the banks requirements, analyze solution alternatives, negotiate / execute contracts and manage the ongoing contracting relationships. Ensured agreements are both OFSI complaint and structured to reduce global tax burden. To date successfully negotiated and executed an estimated 30 agreements, bringing the bank an overall savings / cost avoidance of $32M to $42M over 3 years. Deal sizes between $2M and $40M.

Responsible for developing solid relationships with customers within large corporate accounts on a national and global basis. Partnered with these customers to develop an understanding of their environment, and formulated outsourcing solutions that met their complex business requirements. Industries included Financial Services, Government and Healthcare (eHealth), and Telecommunications. Projects ranged from $2.0M to $60.0M in size.

As a director in a newly formed joint venture, mandated to support CIBC and grow alternate business streams both through HP or direct with the customer. Created and managed the following departments: New Business and Integration, as well as Managed Desktop Services. These new departments generated 100million in new business.

Responsible for developing CIBC's three year Network unit business plan based on inputs from business and technology partners, set technology standards, negotiated capital and operating budgets to support the business plan. Implemented infrastructure changes to support the bank’s complex needs – e.g., CommNet, High-speed Toronto ATM Network, IP Branch. This allowed the bank to bring in new services at the branch level.

Member of the inter-company Executive Councils which were responsible for the strategic development and implementation of national programs.

Built and managed a multi-disciplined team of professionals across the company to service a large national account (annualized revenues of $60 million). Responsible for implementing new national projects - voice and data on time on budget and mantaining SLA's on existing serivces Received “Service Excellence” award from client.

Implemented major national communications projects, directing multi-disciplined, multi-vendor cross-functional teams on time on budget, while exceeding client expectations. Professionalized the project management function creating a nation-wide project management forum for Canadian Telco’s. Lobbied for product improvements and standardized national practices and measurements.

Forecasted, tracked and communicated annual operating budget. Standardized processes resulting in savings of 30% annually. Managed an internal bank operation. Optimized procedures increasing efficiency and accuracy beyond corporate objectives. Achieved 100% results in all audits.
