I enter all of the daily inbound BOLs into our Freightware software to convert them into Delivery Receipts for next day use. Verifying charges on several customers, I also work directly with customers over the phone to address charges and implement changes in billing or redirecting freight. On average we have 250 shipments a night that need to be processed, and of that we have about 5 line-lauls that need to be pulled separately and expedited each night. Verifying charges on several customers, I also work directly with customers over the phone to address charges and implement changes in billing or redirecting freight. On average we have 250 shipments a night that need to be processed, and of that we have about 5 line-lauls that need to be pulled separately and expedited each night. Depending on the volume of freight the number of line-hauls can go from 5 to 8 quickly, so flexibility is key in this position. I also work with dock personal to eliminate weight and count discrepancies. While coordinating with the dock manager I dispatch 3-9 drivers each night. I am responsible for keeping track of their dispatched times and locations, while ensuring that each driver is compliant in their hours of service. I am also responsible for running 2 end of day summary reports, while leaving detailed accounts as to what transpired and the changes made over the night shift. Show less
