Working in the pharma industry for 20+ years I’ve seen a need for highly differentiated and clearly articulated strategic positioning of medicines from early Phase I R&D planning through all lifecycle stages. The lifesciences industry is changing at pace with challenges to achieve acceleration to market at the right price and delivering significant improvements in patient outcomes. In aiming to achieve these goals, defining a clear strategy that incorporates multi stakeholder perspectives and is co-created cross functionally, aligned and embedded across an organisation is key. I’m a senior consultant with a background in communications and expertise working with lifescience leaders to build and define strategic positioning. I partner with multi functions in big and mid size pharma (Commercial, Market Access, Medical, Advocacy and Communications teams), and also work directly with CEOs and leadership teams in biotechs. My work includes rare disease expertise. I’m focused on bringing forth high quality thinking and working collaboratively, with a positive energy and drive to get the job done. Examples of my work:- Strategic planning sessions: helping clients to work through a problem statement, analysis of potential challenges and solutions/ roadmaps for change - Multi stakeholder value positioning: working with clients to identify priority attributes and drivers for uptake based on multi-stakeholder insights, mapping an aligned customer adoption ladder. This is built using a ‘belief map’ methodology based on the principle that beliefs drive behaviour change- Defining and articulating differentiated value narratives: for a single asset, franchise and company – from early value positioning, market development through to differentiation in highly competitive, commoditised markets- Designing and facilitating internal and external workshops/ advisory boards - Processes to enable an organisation to succeed: early input from local market teams, playbooks, pilot market engagement, multi country trainingI have the energy, enthusiasm and experience to help you formulate effective strategy, create an engaging and clear narrative, and win buy-in and action from those who matter.
