Designed and developed web applications for SAIC’s intranet and public web site using ASP.NET, C#, XML, ASP, PERL, JavaScript, and AJAX. Interviewed customers to discover user needs. Formulated requirements, system architecture, and test plans for new web applications. Researched commercial software and recommended products to web team.Accomplishments include:• Replaced Ultraseek with Google Search Appliance as SAIC’s public web site and corporate intranet internal search engine.• Invented custom reports for the Google Search Appliance that pinpoint query terms that are not providing good results to users. This focused SEO activities not on popular query terms, but the terms that actually required improvement. • Devised a way to display a dynamic list of related news stories and Twitter posts within a web page using Google Search Appliance, Twitter APIs, ASP.NET, XML, and XSLT.• Expanded the use of employee badge photos and avatars throughout SAIC’s intranet by developing tools in ASP.NET and ImageMagick (an open-source image editing software.) • Created a media library to share audio, video, and still images on SAIC’s corporate intranet using ASP, VBScript, AJAX, JavaScript, and Longtail JW FLV Flash Player.• Directed the Indian development of a .NET online quote system for SAIC’s GeoRover software product line.

Headed technical projects and guided server upgrades. • Improved Lotus Domino development by establishing platform processes and best practices including stats reporting in Hitbox (now SiteCatalyst), automatic error notification, link validation with Linkbot (now Watchfire WebXM), and codeless header and footer navigation maintenance.• Built an application that empowered SAIC employees to update their own information in the employee directory via the intranet. Utilized diverse data sources including SQL, Lotus Notes, x.500, and Corporate Security systems.• Launched content management pilot using Documentum Web Publisher and XML/XSLT.• Evaluated Google Search Appliance in a side-by-side comparison with SAIC’s Ultraseek search implementation.
