About Heather Martin

My ideal role includes service and support. I am a quick study, personable, inclusive and genuine. A servant leader by nature, I inspire others to give 110% by doing so myself. Trained in customer service by the most well-known service experts, Nordstrom. For ten years I was a department manager with Nordstrom, loving every minute of the face to face interaction and daily challenge to be more. I have not found a product that I could not sell or did not enjoy selling, and I enjoy the service and support role even more. I was promoted 9 times within the company. I am ideal for leading a sales team, as I understand the challenges and can put a positive spin on any scenario. Having spent 2.5 years in the position of professional retail buyer specializing in unique, energy efficient/alternative energy products and organic/Earth-friendly goods for a new retail concept, I learned an incredible amount about all aspects of purchasing and selling. Maintaining positive vendor relationships is key, as well as negotiating the best pricing and terms on the items that are the right fit. Direct experience training and marketing related to products and company. Particularly interested in growing brand awareness through an exceptional product mix. Especially skilled at multi-tasking, team building and exceeding planned sales and margins.Legacy Church was such a wonderful job experience for me. The position taught me how to support several different departments while maintaining a welcoming front office environment.Specialties: Customer service, organizational skills, team collaboration, leadership, merchandising, forecasting, buying, hiring-training-retaining top industry talent, event planning. The ability to coach others in all aspects of the business.
