As a Connection Strategist, I want to immerse myself in many cultures in order to learn how I can best build bridges in our growing diverse culture. I partnered with Wilson Okwuobu, founder and CEO of Legacy Behavioral Healthcare, who is also an alumnus of Paradise Valley Community College. We both had similar visions of teaching self-leadership and how knowing oneself can lead to healing, transformation, and empowerment. The women in my group taught me all about their culture and what life was like growing up on the reservation. This experience has been vital to my understanding of how I can advocate for the Indigenous community and support those who choose to lead. At the end of their program, many of them decide to step into leadership roles. I love helping them identify what makes them unique and empowering them to show up powerfully in whatever endeavor they choose to conquer next.

As Manager on Duty (MOD), I was liaison for store-wide issue escalations. Responsible for minimizing returns and converting customer interactions into upsell opportunities. I received the MVP award in this role for my sucess in partnering with all the different departments in order to maintain sales and customer relationships.

I loved learning about technology and helping others reconcile their needs for it in their homes and businesses. In this role we were commission only, however as a supervisor I enjoyed pulling the sales clerks together to help educate each other and assist in closing sales.

In this role I got to be a part of a small, high performing team. This was a small sedation dentristry office. The pressure to perform was high. The majority of our patiences were fear based and there were many obstacles for us to climb to obtain accurate records in a timely manner. I welcomed the challenge! It was here that I learned how valuable it is to be able to educate people to make an informed decision. How to leverage technology to achieve accurate records. How to build trust in impossible circumstances. How to meet people where they are at and help them make important decisions, usually when they didn't want to. This experience taught me the value of sales and customer relations.
