Having developed and managed industrial wastewater and environmental regulatory solutions for more than 30 years, I know the importance of maintaining production while achieving regulatory compliance metrics. Developing wastewater solutions for industries is a multi-faceted process, requiring innovative solutions for treatment, waste byproduct handling, and meeting local and federal compliance requirements and regulatory guidelines. My experience developing solutions for dairy, frozen food, sugar, and other facilities includes helping achieve production growth, expansion plans, and market dynamic goals. I have experience with anaerobic and aerobic treatment and various technologies: equalization, aeration, clarification, digester, dissolved air flotation (DAF), biogas treatment, and sludge thickening/dewatering. I can help you evaluate the most cost-effective approach, including helping greenfield plants determine the best means of reliable wastewater discharge, whether that’s direct discharge to the city sewer or determining the level of wastewater treatment to be implemented on site. For existing facilities, I collaborate with you to understand your goals and needs. As part of Mead & Hunt’s full-service engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) group, I align the right team to identify the alternatives for your facility. My goal is to help you save money and optimize resources use (water, energy, and more) so you can focus on producing high quality products. For those seeking an additional revenue stream, I help facilities with anaerobic digesters implement biogas collection and treatment to generate electricity. For landfill gas to renewable natural gas (RNG) and other systems, I assist with compliance management to obtain tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) based on meeting the prevailing wage and registered apprenticeship requirements.
