About John Winckler

Having managed construction projects for more than 15 years, I develop accurate project budgets and advance estimates for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects across the U.S. With more than 70 renewable energy projects under my belt, it’s gratifying to take a waste product and make something positive out of it. It’s a win-win for the environment. I know how important it is to have an accurate picture of what a project is expected to cost. As design advances, I work with the engineering team to review plans, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy. To streamline the project from bidding to construction, I review issue for bid documents to verify that trade contractors have what they need to accurately bid the project. Once the bid goes out, I coordinate the preconstruction team to make sure we receive sufficient coverage for each trade, interview the bidders, and advise the team on the best contractors for the project. Trade contractors include everything from the ground up to mechanical, electrical, and process.As part of your EPC project team, I help deliver accurate budgets so the construction team is well positioned to deliver a successful project.
