In addition to 8 practice locations, Atlantic Urology Clinics maintains 2 surgery centers and a cancer research facility. In my time with AUC’s centralized scheduling department, we have nearly tripled our staff and have implemented many processes to maximize productivity while maintaining employee retention. I work closely with our administrative team, IT department, division managers, and physicians to maintain an excellent standard of care for our patients and help keep our clinics running smoothly.

A fun party line: that one time I worked for the government.I worked with code enforcement officers to review both residential and commercial building plans, co-hosted quarterly training sessions for Zoning and Planning committees, and worked closely with elected officials to address concerns from town and county residents.The office of codes enforcement maintained and enforced all county ordinances including complaints of noise, property management, and issues with residential and commercial buildings. I issued permits for all new residential structures/upgrades and sent commercial plans for architectural review; keeping close records and updating all participants during the process. I collected payments from permit fees and was entrusted with depositing those funds to our county treasurer’s office, weekly. I enjoyed being one of the faces of our permitting department and made long lasting connections with friends who taught me a great deal about working smarter, not harder!

Where I fell in love with healthcare!I was a second shift patient registrar in the emergency department at what was then known as Union Regional Medical Center.I quickly learned to love the pace of the ED and could often be found in the family waiting room with stickers for kids and coffee for grown ups; I have and always will lead with my heart. I worked with our administrator to assist in employee training during our EHR upgrade and was often asked to lead projects for our team. I was cross trained and able to fill positions as needed in all in/outpatient registration departments as well as our Cancer, Sleep, and Breast Health centers.I left this position in 2006 on great terms, when I relocated further south.
