Member of the 2020 Cohort for the Science, Mathematics & Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program sponsored by the Department of Defense (DoD). Assigned to the Space and Missile Systems Center in Los Angeles as an Aerospace Engineer .

· Supported the Space Sensing Directorate Engineering Division (SNE) with the mission of defining, implementing, executing, and maintaining a streamlined and effective mishap prevention program· Analyzed architectural framework for Resilient Missile Warning/Missile Tracking/Missile Defense, Survivable Overhead Persistent Infrared, and Environmental & Tactical Surveillance mission areas· Assessed and evaluated safety engineering compliance during program acquisition and development of Space Force systems· Reviewed system safety lifecycle documentation on development, test, and employment of various systems to evaluate compliance with Space Force ordinance

· Supported Spacecraft engineering development of ACAT 1B ($525M+) program (Weather System Follow On-Microwave Satellite)· Reported status on program cost, schedule, and performance through weekly presentations· Analyzed schedule impacts of subsystem delivery updates utilizing Microsoft Project; maintained oversight on program’s critical path· Planned and executed risk mitigation strategies for ongoing project issues· Participated in technical subcontractor reviews (CDR, TRR, PSR) for 34 different subunits

Responsible for maintaining and upkeeping all financial records of the coalition. This includes collecting all receipts, invoices, and completing all necessary financial documentation. Upon approval of El Concilio funding, the Director of Finance will follow up with Representatives on all funding forms and procedures. Will also maintain El Concilio accounts including accounts held by Student & Cultural Engagement.

Serves to promote financial literacy within the Latino/Hispanic community through events and instructional material. Members of the committee are able to gain leadership experience, expand their knowledge of personal finance, and help educate members of our community.
