• Plan the factory trial plan and work plan for NPD team, liaising with production and engineering staff as required.Supporting the account manager at customer presentations and meetings about new product development.• Collate and complete all information on sample submission forms.• Contribute product development ideas and concepts, and support the Sales team in assessing the production feasibility.• Monitor all NPD projects ensuring trials are conducted and data collated to meet agreed timelines.• Work on a structured basis following the product development process.• Liaise and update all relevant internal departments on NPD projects on a day-to-day basis.• Responsible for carrying out micro and nutritional testing on products in development, including sending samples, tracking invoices, recording and interpreting results and taking action when required.• Apply food science knowledge and techniques to improve taste, texture, nutritional balance, and shelf life of products. Present food science view to customers, suppliers and organisations.• Provide advice and guidance on ingredients and their attributes – to research and test new ingredients, to assess their suitability for various processes.
