-POST certified--SIBC Police Academy-Sworn Peace Officer-Criminal Investigator-Carry a firearm-Conduct arrests-Conduct interviews of employees, witnesses, victims, suspects, etc.-Investigate multiple forms of fraud, identity theft, false/counterfeit identifications/driver licenses, car dealers, unlicensed car dealers, odometer fraud, undocumented aliens, plan and participate in tactical operations, locate suspects, witnesses, and fugitives, etc.-Work closely with various law enforcement agencies such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement, US Border Patrol, Customs and Border Protection, Social Security Administration-Office of Inspector General, Sheriff, etc., provide direct assistance to other law enforcement agencies, personnel and officials.-Participate in Operation Stonegarden (arresting undocumented individuals at the ports of entry for fraud, ID theft, possession of counterfeit or altered government documents, etc.)-Examine and analyze government documents for authenticity/validity, including (but not limited to) birth certificates, state identifications, Permanent Resident Cards, Naturalization Certificates, student visas and other non-immigrant visas, and border crossing cards. Work with United States Border Patrol/Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Customs and Border Protection to enforce immigration laws-Conduct searches of electronic databases to research records.-Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, CLEAR, CLETS, various Department of Motor Vehicles databases.-Organizational and time keeping/management skills-required to log time and activities daily.-Assist the public on a daily basis.-Supervisor duties when the Supervisor is not in the office (as assigned).-Independently research, interpret and analyze a wide variety of sources including pertinent sections of the law and regulations, and state and local laws.

Review documents received from arresting officers and enter information in to the JIMS program.• Interview detainees or inmates to acquire or confirm necessary information• Communicate with inmates or detainees who may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, emotionally upset, disturbed or otherwise uncooperative.• Provide detainees or inmates with clear verbal instructions to direct movement or provide information. • Conduct searches of electronic databases to research records. • Update electronic or manual records, and court and legal documents as needed to maintain accurate information needed by courts, law enforcement staff and the Office of the District Attorney staff.• Work alongside various law enforcement agencies.

Follow up on customer's orders, call vendors to track orders, file records, keep records of what has been done on customer's orders, call customers to follow up on orders and schedule deliveries with them, drive forklift and reach truck, work along-side my supervisor in investigating what has happened in customer's orders or missing merchandise, customer assistance, audit the bays in which customer's orders are stored, work several different reports, and organize records. Work cash registers at manager's request, training in lighting and electrical, as well as plumbing.

•Intake and inventory inmates’ personal property•Release property to inmates upon release•Process paperwork and proper documents in regards to receiving and releasing inmates personal belongings with the inmate and/or their family/friends•Input information in to JIMS computer system as per policy guidelines and use of JIMS to retrieve information regarding inmates.•Investigate in to missing property or property left at the facility after inmate has already been released•Answer questions to the public and Officers regarding information about an inmate•Sort and distribute San Diego Central Jail mail

•Conduct field investigations and surveillance•Locate and interview principals and witnesses•Prepare reports used in evaluation and defense of criminal cases•Collect, compile, analyze, and preserve factual information•Prepare diagrams, charts, scale and drawings•Photograph crime scenes and evidence•Assist Deputy Public Defenders in arranging witnesses’ appearances at trials and hearings, and in preparing presentations of evidence•Serve Subpoenas
