Action for Healthy Kids is a nonprofit organization that mobilizes family-school partnerships to prepare kids to be healthy in body and mind. Through funding, resources, training, and technical assistance, we help districts, schools, and families work together to provide healthy food, social-emotional learning, and physical activity opportunities to students in underserved communities.• Designed and executed AFHK’s program strategy to improve student and family health in underserved communities in the areas of food access and nutrition education, physical activity and active play, and social-emotional health and risk behavior prevention• Oversaw the planning, implementation and monitoring of AFHK’s school district, school, and family technical assistance, which included training, educational resources and one-on-one support• Facilitated the National School District Wellness Coalition, a collective impact initiative that supports school districts in informing, coordinating and enhancing the development of practices and policies serving the whole child in support of health and educational equity• Designed innovative strategies to meet family, school, district, funder and stakeholder needs to position AFHK as a national leader within the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model.• Directed and coached employees and contractors• As a member of the Leadership Team, participated in strategic planning and supported the AFHK Executive Team in problem-solving and decision making related to program strategy and organizational effectiveness
