Senior Communications Officer
Current• Writes news stories and posts for the BVRLA’s own channels including the website, e-newsletters and social media. • Produces member communications; writing content, coordinating contributions and overseeing the design and production for a range of channels including corporate publications, BVRLA Weekly Update and the BVRLA Communications Toolkit.• Develops and manages relationships with key communicators and influencers in member organisations to build advocacy and increase influence. • Provides communications advice to colleagues as required.• Manages the development and production of marketing collateral to promote BVRLA services and member-acquisition and retention activities.• Liaises with third-party suppliers of creative and print services, overseeing design and production to ensure brand compliance and cost-effective procurement.• Manages and protects the BVRLA brand, ensuring consistency and appropriate usage to increase brand recognition and build reputation.• Identify the BVRLA’s key audiences and segment appropriately to ensure that a targeted approach to communications can be achieved, working with colleagues to align the CRM. • Manages the delivery of the social media strategy to increase reach and engagement; curating and publishing content across all BVRLA social media channels.• Monitors interactions on social media and flags any issues.• Manages the BVRLA Blog to ensure a regular flow of content is published representing a wide range of authors addressing a variety of subjects; editing content and coordinating contributions.• Writes news releases, articles and blogs as required to support objectives.• Acts as contact for media enquiries, coordinating and drafting responses.• Manages the BVRLA media database, identifying and connecting with writers and influencers in areas affecting the industry and the BVRLA’s policy areas.• Monitors and reports on performance of communications and makes recommendations for improvements.
