I have undertaken projects covering the 4 areas of Sequoia’s Capability Building offering; ranging from European network strategy to training over 1000 planners from around the world in inventory theory. I love building things and solving problems. A job where I get to design and build models, create simulations of supply chains and manufacturing facilities in order to answer supply chain questions, suits me down to the ground.Sequoia waited a long time for an inventory optimisation tool that we could recommend to our clients. A tool that did the maths correctly and wasn’t just a spreadsheet. Eventually we gave up waiting and built our own.Since 2012, I have been the architect and lead developer of OnTarget, Sequoia’s Inventory Management tool. Built on Sequoia's 20+ years of inventory optimisation experience, my own consulting experience and my ability to create web-enabled applications I have built OnTarget. It is a statistically robust, graphically rich tool that give inventory managers visibility and control of inventory levels. With deployments around the world OnTarget is certainly keeping us busy.I have recently designed and build an EOQ module for OnTarget to assess replenishment cycle processes and optimise working capital management. My key clients include Nestle, Oriflame, PepsiCo, Pepsico Global Concentrate Solutions, Sandoz, St Regis, Campari and Unilever

The optimising model was used to cost various 10 year investment and rationalisation scenarios, resulting in a €40 million p.a. reduction in projected conversion costs.ProcessCost and Capacity modelling, introducing visibility to S&OP and factory planning, enabling product trial scheduling and promotion planning.Introduced cycle scheduling across manufacturing facilities, optimising labour, distribution and working capital costs. This reducing supply chain costs by 12.5%.PeopleA three day training package creating planners who are Statisticians (confident with numbers), Economists (optimising supply chains) and Diplomats (improving communication).
