During that time, Helen, who was a Regional HR Officer, developed and proved herself in a range of areas - she was key to establishing our personnel records system on a properly functioning basis and similarly helped drive forward improvements to our payroll arrangements. In these she showed considerable adaptability, flexibility and an ability to come up with good ideas for change. She is able to absorb ften very detailed information effectively and use it imaginatively to focus on solutions. She also managed both internal and external relationships very well in what were sometimes quite testing circumstances. Helen worked closely with service managers and me in recruitment of staff as well as advising on and handling changes to staff appointments, working arrangements, contract variations and some TUPE transfers. Throughout this, she was thoughtful, planned ahead and was extremely reliable and willing to go the extra mile in making sure deadlines were met and things worked properly. She was also tenacious in working through processes while remaining diplomatic and considerate of others' situations, and was liked and well thought of by her colleagues. Helen has now secured a new role which looks to be a good next step in developing her skills and experience further. I can happily recommend her as a strong asset for any organisation that takes her on and a good, supportive team member and colleague to her co-workers."
