-Develop and test assembly procedures for the first-article pulsed dipole magnets;-Assemble and test next-gen CCT (canted cosine theta) superconducting magnets, including installation of conductors and fiber optic cables, soldering terminations, machining components to fit, and testing in cryogenic temperatures using liquid nitrogen & liquid helium;-Produce CAD models and drawings for vendor and in-house fabrication;-Work on the upgrade of the Advanced Light Source particle accelerator, including precision assembly, design and fabricate laser alignment system, build and install UHV systems;-Machine custom components within 0.001” tolerances using CNC and manual lathe & mills;-Produce technical documentation, including 25-page assembly procedures, and oversee kitting and procurement of parts.
