Mechanical Team Lead
CurrentLead the mechanical subsystems teams for KSC's KAOS-1 & T-Sat0 projects. For T-Sat0 I Lead a team to develop a CubeSat structure, spring activated parachute system, ground support equipment, and electronic integration of a 1U tethered CubeSat that will be dropped into freefall from 500 ft and be recovered by a servo activated deployment of a parachute at a predetermined altitude. Complete systems engineering tasks including weekly project reports for the mechanical team to organize objectives, research, and data collected. For KAOS-1, design wooden housing for a 4U CubeSat that can withstand the atmospheric conditions at 100,000 ft altitude including -70° Fahrenheit for the two-hour flight duration. Deploy CubeSat using a weather balloon to allow the 6+ sensors and camera monitoring systems to gather data to be collected after returning the CubeSat via parachute.
