Knights Satellite Club

Knights Satellite Club is UCF's center for satellite and space systems development. We provide opportunities for students from all colleges who are passionate about space. Our primary focus is engineering and science, but all are welcome. It takes more than engineers to run a space program! KSC operates several projects to provide hands-on experience to our members. We are currently developing two suborbital, balloon-based CubeSat test platforms that will fly up to 100,000 feet. We are also in the early phases of an orbital CubeSat mission. To communicate with these satellites, we are working on satellite ground stations on UCF's Engineering Building and Physical Science Building. We also build payloads for amateur rocketry projects in collaboration with other UCF RSOs. We hold regular project meetings open to all students. The best way to get hands-on is to jump in and attend a project meeting! We also hold General Body Meetings (GBMs) once a month during the Fall and Spring semesters to provide general information and project updates to all club members. GBMs also feature talks from industry professionals and free food!
