CliftonStrengths Assessment, a web-based assessment of normal personality from the perspective of Positive Psychology. The Clifton StrengthsFinder is a powerful online assessment that helps individuals identify, understand and maximize their strengths. I've had the privilege of working with students and staff as they learn their strengths and how they are uniquely made. Encouraging students to see how their strengths fit into their education and career goals. In working with adults I have helped them see that they are in the right career but more importantly help them understand their co-workers in a unique way.

As a department of one I have been responsible for every aspect of the training process, from needs assessments to delivery. I have worked with managers across the organization to determine their needs and provide custom solutions. I am a part of the new employee onboarding process providing new employees an overview of the available technology with a strong emphasis on cyber security. I've conducted both live in-person and virtual trainings on Microsoft Office, primarily Microsoft Excel and the Google Workspace applications. My first choice is hands-on learning objectives that relate to the participants job. As an internal trainer I understand how the technology I'm teaching can make the participants job easier. With the pandemic and training becoming virtual I've developed different methods to help participants learn the technology and apply the concepts to their jobs. I've also created self-paced learning for Google Workspace and SAAS solutions such as Adaptive Insights and SAP Concur. When we introduced Adaptive Insights I wore the hat of instructional designer. I gathered the needs and learned the process and policy and developed a training package that was then delivered by the director of finance. After the initial live trainings I took a recorded session, utilizing Camtasia converted it into an on-demand training. I enjoy the variety each aspect of the process brings, but the "win" comes when "the light" come on for a participant and they take the knowledge back to their desk and work smarter.

I hosted, produced, and co-planned a cyber security awareness webcast, Ask the Security Guy,for the APU Community. We would talk about best practices and the latest happenings in the world of cyber security. The episodes were both produced live and pre-recorded. When we did the pre-recorded sessions I would do the post-production work on them utilizing Camtasia.
