While I was a staff assistant I worked as the secretary as well. I answered multiple line phones, set appointments when other staff members in the office asked me to. Worked with spreadsheets, InDesign along with word processing. I was responsible for getting all of the donations that were sent to the office online if they were for one of the many walks that our chapter was responsible for. I was able to run all office equipment. The chapter had several meetings and support groups on a monthly basis. I had to get the office ready for those meetings and support groups.

Enter prescriptions into the computer. Verify instructions or medications with physicians over the phone or via fax. Customer services skills face to face or over the phone. Conversing with insurance companies when needed to verify coverage, or get medication pre-approval. Inventory control over the whole pharmacy, including all supplies needed for everyday use. Filing paperwork in the appropriate locations for audit purposes. Work in a team environment every day.
